Description
A key figure in Japan's electronic music scene with deep roots in Tokyo's footwork scene, Foodman is perhaps best known for his live sets and juke experimentalism. As a producer, his productions err on the side of off-kilter playfulness and un-categorizable technicolor. As a DJ, his aggregate take on house, techno, and the sound of the Japanese underground pushes the boundaries of dance music, incorporating glitchy, chopped-up beats, unconventional samples, and inventive melodies, presenting a distinctive sonic palette. Local leftfield mindbenders K Wata and Yumi team up for a b2b full of unexpected club tools. Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
